◊ Our Mission: Prepare California's next generation of Nurse Assistants and Home Health Aides to train as healthcare professionals, pass the Competency tests and be certified by the CDPH to work as CNA's and HHA's who are:
◊ There is extreme demand in our generation where every day more than 10,000 individuals turn 60. Some of them enter a stage of life with illness, deteriorating health or incapacities. For the remainder of their life, they may need to be committed into nursing care provided by healthcare professionals in:
Long-term care community living facilities
Nursing homes, registries or agencies
Skilled nursing facilities
Home care or hospice comfort care
◊ We dedicate our CNA and HHA training programs to honor Mary Jane Grant-Seacole, the 19th century black Briton Jamaican healer, for her advocacy in training volunteers to care for the wounded with skillful and compassionate care during the Crimean War. Like her, we are set out in the California State Capital to train the healthy to care for those who are no longer healthy. The month of May is dedicated as Mary Seacole Month, and the 2nd week of May is dedicated as Nurses Week. In London, Mary Seacole is honored with Florence Nightingale. As recent as February 8, 2013, 35,000 Britons petitioned to and won to keep her biography as part of the National Curriculum of the United Kingdom.
We guarantee Your success with us for CNA and HHA training.
We use hands-on interactive training in classroom lab environment with mannequins, your classmates, equipment and supplies, video guides and our State-licensed Nurse Instructor, as your teacher and personal coach to stimulate the care environments you will be working in as CNA or HHA.
We offer quality value at reasonable cost for tuition and books, use of equipment and supplies, at a quick pace so you can be in the field as soon as you pass the State test, all at a reasonable and affordable tuition.
The study guide, theory workbook, the skills step manual we use in our CNA Training Program is the same material the State uses to test for theory comprehension and skills demonstration. We simulate the CNA testing environment in our classroom design.
Our training location is easily accessible within 2 minutes of the freeway ramp and is nearby a variety of ethnic restaurants. So are places nearby to go for TB test, Physical Exams or Live Scan Fingerprinting.
We are open 10:00am to 6:00pm during weekdays to accommodate our students who want to continue practicing skills or prepare for written tests, or to accommodate inquirers in person.
Brewed coffee and chocolate beverages, hot and cold filtered water are always available at our break room space for our students at any time during school and office hours. There is also a refrigerator and a microwave among other comforts.
Our office environment is visually stimulating, business casual and very friendly because it is the first entry point for those considering to take a professional healthcare career for the first time, or fanning the flames for a second chance.
8. Our staff will encourage you with a deeply personal professionalism, because committing to take care of those with ill health must require a heart of deep compassion.
9. Our students succeed when they realize that what CDPH wants out of them is exactly what we also want for all of them: that they learn the skills to help the ill and incapacitated in their activities of daily living, with safety, confidence, compassion, and most of all, with gladness. You will succeed when you become and act what you are.
